Shot List & Wedding Timeline Generator

Pick a shoot type for a curated, editable, printable shot list — or build a wedding-day timeline that works backward and forward from the ceremony time. Add your own shots, remove what you don't need, then print, download or share it with your clients. Built for photographers by Nakada Design.
‍
Everything is editable — rename a shot, add your own with “+ add shot”, or remove one with ×. The printed version keeps the checkboxes so you can tick them off on the day.

Timeline
Times are computed from the ceremony start — events before it stack backward, events after it run forward. Reserve the couple's portraits for the evening golden hour; the golden hour calculator gives you the exact window.

Why Every Shoot Deserves a Shot List

The photograph you forget is the one the client remembers. A shot list is cheap insurance against the missed grandmother portrait, the un-photographed invitation suite, the product angle the brand needed for its listing. It also does quiet work before the shoot: sent to a couple or client, it aligns expectations and surfaces the must-haves you couldn't have guessed.

On the day it becomes a shared script — you, your second shooter and the planner all working from the same page. Edit the curated list here down to your style, add the client's specific requests, and print a version with checkboxes you can tick between frames.
‍

Building a Wedding Day Timeline

Anchor on the ceremony. It's the one fixed point on the day, so everything is measured from it. Getting-ready, first look and portraits stack backward; cocktail hour, dinner and dancing run forward.

Protect golden hour. The couple's best portraits happen in the twenty minutes of evening golden light. Slot a short portrait block there even if it means stepping away from the reception — it's worth it. Check the exact time with the golden hour calculator.

Pad the transitions. Real weddings run late. Build in buffers around hair and makeup and between locations, so a fifteen-minute slip doesn't cascade into the ceremony. The generator lets you set every duration — adjust until the day breathes.

‍How do I build a wedding timeline?
Anchor on the ceremony time, stack getting-ready and portraits backward, run cocktail hour and reception forward, and reserve the couple's portraits for evening golden hour.

‍Can I share it with clients?
Yes — print, download or copy it and send it to the couple, planner or brand so everyone works from one plan.

‍Is it free?
