Virtual twilight, also called day to dusk, converts a daytime exterior into blue-hour light while holding the building and camera to the source. You get a deep sky, warmer glass, and a facade that still reads as the real property. Agents and architects use it when access, weather, or schedule make a true dusk reshoot impractical.
No. A simple darken filter flattens the facade and kills material detail. This process is instructed to change light and sky while geometry, hardscape, and openings stay with the source frame. Always review window glow, rooflines, and tree edges, and keep the original daytime file alongside the edit.
Blue hour keeps the architecture legible with a luminous sky; true night pushes deeper contrast and stronger interior glow. Choose blue hour for most residential heroes and neighborhood context. Choose night when the brief is drama, skyline, or a facade that only reads after full dark.
Start with a sharp, level daytime exterior, preferably with lights on inside if you want window glow. Avoid heavy HDR halos and clipped skies. Run the conversion, compare side by side with the source, and discard any frame where structure has drifted.
Complimentary for existing Nakada Design clients within daily limits. Studios that need steady volume can move to a paid plan. Every result is a draft: review lighting, edges, and material detail before you publish, send to a client, or upload to an MLS.
