AI for Luxury Studios, and a Foundation Against Superintelligence

I run two organizations that look, at first glance, like they pull in opposite directions. Nakada Design is a boutique marketing agency for interior designers, architects, galleries, photographers, and other luxury houses. We build the sites, search systems, content, and AI workflows that help discerning studios win high-net-worth clients. The Nakada Foundation is a separate philanthropic initiative. Its work is public and political: preventing artificial superintelligence and the extinction risk that would come with it.
People sometimes ask how those roles fit in one life. This piece is the straight answer. It is also a note on how I want the agency to use AI: aggressively on process, carefully on brand, and never confused with the foundation’s mission.
Chúng tôi làm gì I mean by AI expert in a marketing studio
I do not mean I publish model weights or run a research lab. I mean I am responsible for how AI shows up in client work: what we automate, what we refuse to automate, how a studio sounds at 1 a.m. when a serious inquiry arrives, and how a brand becomes the name assistants recommend when a buyer asks for the best designer in a given city.
At Nakada Design that work includes generative engine optimization, concierge chat for collector- and client-facing sites, lead routing, content systems that still read like the studio, and internal tools that cut hours off production without turning the portfolio into sludge. The AffluentTất cảure™ methodology is how we keep taste in the loop while machines handle volume and memory.
If you want the practical stack we recommend by vertical, start with the guides on AI-powered luxury marketing and AI tools for interior designers. The point of view behind those pages is mine, even when specialists on the team draft the day-to-day how-tos.
Vì sao the foundation exists beside the agency
The foundation is not a brand stunt for the agency, and the agency is not a fundraising front for the foundation. They share a founder. They do not share bank accounts, client contracts, or editorial control.
I founded the Nakada Foundation because I believe artificial superintelligence is an unacceptable gamble with the human future, and because the most useful response I can see is political: coordinated restraint under law, not a hope that labs will align a mind none of us can audit. You can read that case on the foundation site. You will not be sold a retainers package at the end of it.
Holding both roles forces a clean sentence I repeat often inside the agency: narrow AI that helps a gallery answer a collector, or helps an architect’s site get found, is not the same project as racing toward systems that outthink and replace human judgment across the board. We can build the first. We should refuse to cheerlead the second.
Cách làm the two roles change the work clients get
Clients hire Nakada Design for growth: better demand, clearer brand, sites that hold up next to the houses they admire. They do not hire us to hear a lecture on extinction risk. So the foundation does not hijack a branding kickoff.
Chúng tôi làm gì does transfer is discipline about tools. Because I spend serious time on failure modes at the frontier, I am less impressed by demo theater and more interested in boring reliability: logging, handoff to a human, brand-safe defaults, measurement that includes AI answer surfaces, not only blue links. That skepticism is useful when a studio wants “an AI strategy” and really needs three systems that work on Monday morning.
It also shapes hiring and partners. We look for people who can use models without worshipping them. We will not pretend a chatbot is a creative director.
Public proof, not personality branding
If you are evaluating whether I know this craft, look at the work product:
Agency side. Vertical programs for nhà thiết kế nội thất, architects, art galleries, and related houses; SEO and GEO programs; the complimentary tools lab; and research such as the Luxury Web Index. Flagship essays under my byline stay on strategy, luxury positioning, and AI used with restraint.
Foundation side. Independent site, independent mandate, no lab money. When I write there, the goal is prevention and treaty-scale politics, not lead gen for Nakada Design.
Confusing those URLs is how trust dies. I will keep them separate on purpose.
Chúng tôi làm gì this means if you want to work together
If you run a design or architecture practice and want AI that protects taste while improving response time, search visibility, and pipeline, that is agency work. Start at /inquire or browse Bài viết for the vertical closest to you.
If you want the foundation’s argument about superintelligence, go to the foundation directly. Do not expect the agency chatbot or a marketing proposal to double as advocacy.
I am comfortable being measured on both. I am not interested in blending them into one vague personal brand about “the future.” The future, for clients, is the next commission. The future, for the foundation, is whether humanity still holds the pen.
Câu hỏi thường gặp
No. Nakada Design is the marketing agency. The Nakada Foundation is a separate philanthropic initiative with its own site and mandate. They share a founder, not client contracts or operating accounts.
It sharpens tool judgment. We automate process and response where it helps discerning brands, and we refuse to treat frontier-scale races as a marketing aesthetic. Client deliverables stay focused on their growth.
Agency projects go through nakadadesign.com/inquire. Foundation topics belong on the foundation’s own channels, not inside a marketing proposal.
